Please join us for the uw卓越峰会2024: We are but one WORD: Excellence! to take place 2024年4月15日- 19日. UIW invites all to showcase their academic excellence and submit their abstracts or artist’s statements describing their works, 项目, 精通艺术和文学. 教师, staff and students (undergraduate, graduate and professional) are all encouraged to participate. Projects presented elsewhere over the last academic year are welcome. We encourage the submission of 项目 that incorporate participatory and collaborative approaches, engage with diverse communities, and are open to novel formats to enable participation across the numerous academic platforms of excellence at UIW. Accepted submissions will be presented both in-person and online in a virtual symposium format.
海报展示- The poster presentation is open to any discipline and will include a formal in-person poster session. There will be active judging of student poster presentations and prizes for the winning students.
讲台演讲- Podium presentations are open to those who feel their discipline or area of study is better suited to podium presentations. Presentations should not exceed 15 minutes and if accepted, participants will have a choice to present online or in person with live streaming.
表演艺术意见书- Performing arts submissions are open to any musical, spoken or theatrical performance. Submissions must be original works by the artist or a presentation/discussion of existing pieces. Please see the submission form for additional performance information.
视觉艺术作品投稿- Visual arts submissions must be original works by the artist. Please see the submission form for additional display information.
教师指导 We are seeking your participation to encourage mentorship to our students. We welcome ideas on how you and your budding scholars can present together. No students but want some to begin working in your academic area of excellence? No problem we can help you communicate your interests to our greater UIW population in a special showcase for interested 教师.
其他资料- All accepted abstracts and artist’s statements will be published in the Proceedings and archived in The Atheneum.
Service Learning and Engaged Scholarship Showcase
Presenters are needed for the upcoming Service Learning and Engaged Scholarship Showcase during UIW 研究 Week (April 15 - 19). 校本教师, 学生及教职员, are invited to share podium presentations or posters submissions that demonstrate service learning and engaged scholarship.

In 2008, a new tradition of celebrating and showcasing academic accomplishments was established through 研究 Day. 多年来, it has evolved into a week-long event filled with multidisciplinary presentations, 示范及讲座. At the University of the Incarnate Word, we take pride in our research and know that through our search for and communication of truth, we become stronger in educating “concerned and enlightened citizens within the global community.”

The Service Learning and Engaged Scholarship Showcase is held annually in conjunction with 研究 Week. uw社区成员, 教师, 学生及教职员 are invited to share podium presentations or poster submissions that demonstrate their service learning and engaged scholarship. 我们寻求最佳实践, 例子, 理论, scholarship and grant writing skills related to all aspects of service learning.
